Organic Ceylon Cinnamon powder
Why it's great quality
Ceylon Cinnamon, also known as True Cinnamon, has been prized for centuries for its heady, sweet and spicy flavour. It’s versatile, working well in both savoury and sweet dishes and has earned its place as a staple on a spice rack. It's generally considered to be of greater quality and have a better flavour than cassia cinnamon (also known as Chinese cinnamon) which is typically sold in supermarkets.
Full of antioxidants and vitamin A, this world famous spice also has nutritional benefits! There is also limited evidence that shows it's anti-inflammatory, can reduced cholesterol and can reduce blood sugar levels
Nothing added, nothing taken away. No additives or preservatives. No nasties.
WHAT IT’S FOR
Too many to list here! Flavour a curry, enhance Middle Eastern dishes and, of course, a key ingredient in baked goods.
WHERE IT’S FROM
Ceylon cinnamon is from a small evergreen tree and is made from the inner bark. We import ourselves direct from Sri Lanka, where the tree is originally from!
Our Ceylon cinnamon is grown in a system where trees are replaced as they are used, ensuring the harvest is sustainable well in to the future.
